Can we take a moment to express sympathy for a group who’s about to experience a trying few weeks? I refer, of course, to black conservatives. They’ve got to agree that the Zimmerman verdict was not just appropriate but that Zimmerman’s version of events was most likely completely true. They’ve got to agree that race had nothing to do with Trayvon Martin’s death… although, race was the reason George Zimmerman was unfairly prosecuted and victimized. They’ve got to nod and say how Martin shouldn’t have been wearing a hoodie. How else would Zimmerman have known he wasn’t a criminal like so many other black males that the Democrats have failed with their social polices and lenient welfare handouts? And, yes, Martin shouldn’t have attacked Zimmerman or fought back or anything like that. He’d still be alive if he’d just politely waited for the police with Zimmerman, who he should have trusted completely was not a sexual predator. It’s not like he looks like one, after all. They’ve got to agree that Benjamin Crump is a “race huckster” just like Al Sharton, Jesse Jackson, and the NAACP. They’ll probably have to talk about O.J. Simpson some more. And, oh yes sir, Barack Obama is dividing the nation by race when he refers to the death of a violent thug as “tragic.” He’s promoting race riots, just like his crony Eric Holder. If he were alive today, Martin Luther King would agree, because he’d also be a black conservative.
On the upside, black conservatives will receive lots of invitations to dinner and cocktail parties for the rest of the month so their friends can get their comforting opinions on record.

I believe this issue is being overly politicized. I consider myself to be a conservative, though I don’t identify myself as a Republican. The Republican Party has nothing to do with conservatism and hasn’t for quite sometime. Having said that, I’m a conservative and believe Zimmerman should be in jail, for the rest of his life. If he could go for a longer period of time, I’d be all for sentencing him to a longer term.
Looking at a group of people who belong to a certain group and judging them, assuming they are also a part of another group, is what this is all about, right? Saying that because someone is a political conservative means they are racist is the same as saying someone of a certain color is a criminal, is it not? Demonizing the cover keeps you from even reading the contents and THAT is why we have racism, sexism, and most of the other -isms still rearing their ugly head in modern America. You can group people, but you can’t assume that because they’re in one circle that they are also in another. It’s less of “throw them all in one boat” thing and more of a venn diagram thing. Not all conservatives are racists, not all racists are conservative, not all black kids are criminals, not all criminals are black kids.
I am from the south. I am a Christian. I am “white”. I am female. I am a conservative. I believe gun laws are not strict enough. I believe that abortion is murder. I believe capital punishment is murder. I believe Ellen DeGeneres is legally entitled to marry who she wants. I believe I should be able to order a gallon of Pepsi at Taco Bell if I want it. I would have voted to send George Zimmerman to jail for the rest of his life. If you pick one of those statements and try to stereotype me, you’d be wrong about at least half of your profiling.

I give black conservatives just as much sympathy as any other political opportunist. And if it weren’t so friggin’ hot, I’d wear my hoodie today.
